Rwanda’s tourism earnings up 55%

Rwanda’s Development Board says the country’s budding tourism sector received over a million visitors in 2008 and raised an estimated $214 million, up from $138 million the previous year. Rwanda was voted among the “Top 10 countries to visit in 2009″ by the Lonely Planet travel guide.

Woman arrested for fraud

A 25-year-old woman was arrested for fraud after she allegedly took money from people whom she falsely promised jobs, Eastern Cape police said.
Captain Zamukulungisa Jozana said the woman promised the people jobs at the department of education.

Chromex cuts production at SA ops
